IDSA Event - Adidas North America and Ziba

Welcome back! To kick off spring term, IDSA will be hosting another day of PDX design tours next Friday, April 12th. Our first stop will be at the Adidas North America campus. Following Adidas will be a studio tour of the design consultancy Ziba. Both tours will provide a great opportunity to connect with professional designers and learn about their design practices. Additionally, these tours will allow you to compare and contrast corporate and consultancy work settings.

Jack Koby, a freshman in the UO’s Product Design Program, developed both a new product and a business plan. His “Lace-Up Pencil Cup” is no longer a classroom sketch but a purchasable item on several design websites, including Ponoko.com.

Competition Opportunity: IDSA x Entrepreneur Club design/business pitching contest

I would like to notify everyone about a design competition opportunity being put on in collaboration between UO’s Entrepreneur Club and IDSA. As part of the Entrepreneur Club’s annual dinner banquet, they will be holding a business-pitching competition. For the competition, the club’s members will be pitching potential business opportunities to a panel of judges with backgrounds in investing and entrepreneurship. The team with the winning pitch will receive a cash prize.
